Welcome :D

Let me show you some of my 4koma (about my life with cats).
Nao-p is my nick name my friend Mami Tachibana gave me. And I call her Mami-p. Of course it comes from Wedding Peach "Momo-p". No one calls me by the name except for her, but I love the 4 koma cartoon "Go Go Momo-pi (Gan-bare Momo-p)"(In the paperbacks) so I use it. :)
Oh, I'm a manga artist Nao Yazawa, and author of Wedding Peach, by the way. :)

These "comic strips" come from my 4-koma blog (in Japanese). You can see all of them in original here. If you have a request which 4koma will be next, tell me. :D

Resisting The Medicine

It's very hard work, actually. (It's a story for a while ago, she doesn't take any meds right now)

The Last Lesson

Yesterday's lesson at Manga School Nakano was the last lesson for my student from Sweden,

She had comes to the school once a month since March in 2014. She is going back home country to go to an art school for one year. So, she started to learn fine art from this September, but she want to keep learning manga, and moves on online lesson from September.

I'm very happy that she decided to keep drawing manga with me, and I'd started online course.

She was, and maybe is not a deep manga fan, and has no artists who have her inference. (Quite rare case, I think!) Of course she is interested in manga, the method and idea. The way her approach made me impressed sometimes, and I learnt some from her.

She copied reference images at first, then, illustration, coloring, an illustration with panels, then has just started manga with an original story.

Illustrations with panel work.

It was a private lesson and the subjects came from her. Her interest reached to "Manga" without my suggestion, that pleased me, too. (Creating one shot manga is very hard work, though)

Many of my students take only one, or a couple of lessons. So leaving of long term student is special for me...I'll see her online soon, though.

She said she is thinking to come back to Japan when she finished the art course and start a standard manga class again. Sounds like my lesson is pretty good, right? ;)

One of her copy drawing. I asked her to pick up some reference image she liked, then the images she took was "Kaze to Ki no Uta" by Keiko Takemiya. A very classic manga. Interesting choice!

Start again!

It's for a while since the last update - the update I said "re-start from a long absence". I still have done nothing I mentioned the last post - 4koma eBook (Go Go Nao-P! vol.3), draw new 4koma, CoffeeParty's work and so on.

But my busiest time in this summer have been over, so I have some time now - so "start again!"

The busiest time is a intensive course for 3 ladies from Toulouse manga, "C-chan and her staffs(Toulouse Manga's teachers)". It was every day lesson for 2 weeks, Monday- Friday, 10 times lesson. In this time, they composed a short manga storyboard (16-24P)

It was covered by Iine!Japan(いいね!Japan) and the article is online now. It is in Japanese, but English version is coming soon.(I'll inform when English version is online ! :D)

This photo is from the article, I took no photo in this time. So...
